I was reading an article by Dan O’Brien (one of my favorite writers over at Cracked.com) about Roseanne Barr’s blog. I have concluded that she is not one of us common-funny people, but possesses a comedic intellect paralleling those of the greater comedians from ages past, like the writers of The Brady Bunch Hour or David Spade. However, I don’t really need to share my feelings on said publication, but just thought I’d link it so people can check it out on their own. So read some of her entries, form your own opinions, and decide for yourself how afraid you should be. roseanne is smarter than dan is giving her credit for, by pulling her quotes out of context, the full pieces of hers i have read were actually quite entertaining. she’s not a menopausal rush limbaugh, roseanne’s just not as stupid as she has made herself look her entire life.
Hence my withholding judgment on the entire blog. I will say this, some of the content is rather questionable… and other pieces are randomly deep and reasonable. So this begs the question… who the hell is she really?
